Piccolo Sant'Andrea

Piccolo Sant’Andrea is a heavenly five-star retreat located near the pretty village of Praiano and only a few minutes from Positano (guests can use complimentary shuttles to both villages all day long). Named after Saint Andrew, the patron saint of Amalfi, the hotel enjoys a spectacular setting on the side of a cliff, offering unobstructed views of the coast that extend towards the island of Capri.

Piccolo Sant’Andrea was opened in 2018 by the Sartori brothers to honour their father, Venetian entrepreneur Odino Sartori, who fell in love with this magical coastal spot while on business in Naples back in the 1970s and decided to build his buen retiro here.

The stunning panoramic pool is particularly pleasant for relaxing after a day out exploring the beauties of the Amalfi Coast, and there’s lots of outdoor space with comfy seating areas to linger over a drink surrounded by the sweet scent of the orange blossoms.

A range of wellness and beauty treatments are also available at the hotel’s spa, which includes a large heated pool with jacuzzi (one of the biggest in the area), a sauna, a Turkish bath, and an emotional shower.

One of the main highlights of this hotel is the incredible location on the side of a cliff, which guarantees unbeatable views across the coastline between Positano and Praiano and up to Punta Campanella, the Li Galli Islands, and Capri.

The hotel has a beautiful outdoor pool that looks out onto the sparkling blue sea. It’s the perfect spot for some sun-drenched relaxation while soaking up the enchanting scenery of the Amalfi Coast. 

Innovative Spa treatments
On top of the classic wellness and beauty treatments, the spa of Piccolo Sant'Andrea was the first in the area to propose the exclusive “Star Method”, a patented technique that combines joint manipulation and functional stretching, promising an incredibly relaxing experience.

Campania region classics fill the menu at the onsite restaurant, which stocks up on locally grown produce from selected family producers. Guests dine on a beautiful panoramic terrace, where special themed dinners are occasionally organised to delve into the culinary delights of the territory. A light lunchtime menu with dishes like Caprese salads and cold cuts plates can be enjoyed poolside.

Breakfast is a lavish continental buffet to enjoy with no rush lulled by the sound of the waves. During the day, a range of refreshing cocktails and traditional aperitifs are served at the lobby bar, which opens onto a panoramic terrace that is beautifully candlelit at night.

Praiano is a charming coastal village halfway between Amalfi and Positano, which still retains that small-town charm and tranquillity that may be hard to find in the more glamorous resorts of the Amalfi Coast. It also enjoys a remarkable position on the coast that ensures sunlight all day long and offers magical sunsets.
