The hotel is set in a historic building that's a great example of Venetian Gothic style and has a rich history that goes back six hundred years. It was originally the home of the illustrious Barbarigo family, whose members included the Doge Agostino Barbarigo. Later, it served many purposes, including being the headquarters for the Cá Foscari University, before becoming a hotel.

The meticulous renovation of the palace honors its aristocratic legacy, with Murano glass chandeliers, luxurious fabrics, authentic Venetian flooring and stunning frescoes. Outside, there’s a secret garden that, come dusk, turns into a magical refuge thanks to the soft illumination, which gracefully highlights its beauty. It still preserves the ancient well that was once the primary source of water for the building.
