Relais Chambord

Chambord, France
Overview
Relais Chambord is a high-end hotel with an exclusive location right within the vast forest reserve surrounding Chateau Chambord, a magnificent Renaissance castle that’s part of the UNESCO-protected Loire Valley region.
The hotel is in a beautifully restored period building right in front of the castle, which was King Francois I’s stable back in the 16th century. A major refurbishment by Jean-Michel Wilmotte transformed the place into a charming boutique retreat without losing its character. He’s managed to retain original details and traditional elements while keeping the overall feel sleek and modern with understated design touches here and there. On-site activities are plentiful: you can enjoy a delightful break at the spa, try your hand at tennis or billiards, pick a book from the stunning floor-to-ceiling library, and reconnect with nature and history while exploring the castle’s grounds – when all the day tourists are gone
